Mastering Circular Dependencies
One of the most challenging aspects of Arknights: Endfield's production chain is the concept of Circular Production Loops. Unlike traditional linear crafting, many AIC recipes require a container that is returned after use.
For example, creating Bottled Water requires an empty bottle. Consuming the water returns the bottle. A naive calculation would suggest you need to craft infinite bottles. Our Endfield Calc uses smart recipe selection to resolve these dependencies automatically, showing you the net new bottles required to scale your production, rather than trapping you in an infinite loop.
Power Consumption & Grid Management
Every facility in your base draws power from the central grid. As you expand your factory to produce high-tier items like Processed Battery (Tier 3), your energy requirements skyrocket.
Real-time calculation of total power (kW) is essential. A factory blackout stops all production lines instantly. By using this planner, you can pre-calculate the load:
- Smelters typically consume low consistent power.
- Chemical Plants often have high peak usage.
- Assemblers vary based on the recipe tier.
Always plan for a 10-15% power buffer to handle spikes when new facilities come online.
Facility Counts & Load Balancing
Efficiency is the name of the game. Our calculator provides a precise Facility Count (e.g., 2.4 Assemblers). This decimal is crucial for Load Balancing.
If the calculator says you need 2.4 machines, building only 2 will create a bottleneck, slowing down your entire Dependency Tree. Building 3 ensures smooth flow but leaves one machine idle 60% of the time. Advanced players use this data to overclock specific machines or route materials to secondary lines to ensure 100% Capacity Utilization.
How to optimize your factory

Search for any craftable item (e.g., Processed Battery) from the database.
Set Production Rate
Define your desired output per minute (e.g., "60/min"). The system scales all requirements accordingly.
Build & Expand
Review the generated facility count and raw material list. Use this blueprint to construct your AIC layout in-game.
Metrics Explained
Target Rate (/min)
The speed at which you want to produce the final item. "60/min" means your factory produces one item every second.
Facility Count
The number of buildings needed. Example: "2.5" means you need 3 machines running, but the 3rd one will only work 50% of the time.
Total Power (kW)
The aggregated energy consumption of all facilities in the chain. Ensure your power grid capacity exceeds this value to avoid blackouts.
Raw Materials
Base resources that cannot be crafted (e.g., Iron Ore, Water). You must gather these from the map nodes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the calculator show decimal facility counts (e.g., 0.6)?
This represents the utilization rate. "0.6" means one machine running at 60% capacity is sufficient to meet your target. In-game, you should build 1 machine.
Does this planner include Tier 2 or Tier 3 recipes?
Currently, the calculator defaults to the Standard Recipe for maximum compatibility. We are working on a feature to allow switching between efficiency recipes (Tier 2/3) in a future update.
How is the Total Power consumption calculated?
Power is calculated by summing the operational load of all required facilities. Note that this assumes facilities are running only as needed; idle power draw is not included. Always build slightly more power capacity than the Total Power (kW) suggests.
